The Westside of I-25 south of Garden of the Gods Rd. and north of Bear Creek Park is considered by most locals the Westside. The popular neighborhoods in the westside consists of Old Colorado City, Pleasant Valley, Gold Hill Mesa, Kissing Camels, and Holland Park

Amenities 

The westside of Colorado Springs is the closest area of town to the mountains. Hiking, biking, or any mountain sports you enjoy are at your footsteps when living in the westside. 

 

Downtown Old Colorado City has a handful of great restaurants, shops and local events. The most notable events in Old Colorado Springs are Territory Days in the Summer, farmers markets, and the nearly year-round “First Friday Art Walk” where local artists have the opportunity to showcase their talent. Old Colorado City is also a great place for evening walks down Colorado Ave and early mornings at the cute and cozy cafes and coffee shops.

Housing

The westside of Colorado Springs housing offers a diverse and unique variety of home styles. Victorian, townhomes, main level living, bungalows, or 5,000 square foot homes. The westside has something for everybody. 

 

New construction is here! Gold Hill Mesa has a variety of single family homes and townhomes that you can have built from the ground up. This community is newer and overlooks downtown Colorado Springs. As the newest master-planned community on the westside, there is still development under way which means even more exciting news to come. 

 

New construction can also be found in Kissing Camels. This is a gated community that offers a more luxurious price point. The homes are interlaced with the world famous Kissing Camels Golf course and stunning views of Pikes Peak. 

 

Old Colorado City is a mixture of 1800’s Victorian homes and 1950 and 1960’s single family homes. The price points range from mid $200’s to high $500’s. The closer you get to downtown Old Colorado City, typically the more expensive homes get. 

 

Pleasant Valley is one of the most desirable neighborhoods on the westside. The neighborhood borders the Garden of the Gods with hiking trail access within the neighborhood. Home styles are pretty consistent with homes built in the 1960’s. Prices can range between mid $300’s to high $400’s. 

 

For most residents on the westside, there is no other side that offers the same kind of lifestyle.
